I have a Livejournal, but I know many of you at Vox do not read it. I'm wondering if I should just copy and paste my LJ posts over here as I update it, or alternatively just use Vox's post a copy to LJ feature. I do not use this feature more often because it seems cumbersome; it's an extra click someone needs to make.
LJ is handy is because you can scroll through the posts, but if I used the copy to LJ thing, people would have to leave their friends page and go to an external site, Vox.
I want to see them, however, funds are very low.
Has anyone seen them yet, or heard any reviews about their performance? They're playing at the Grand at the Regency Center, and I'm not sure how that works as a venue.
Damon Albarn really brings me back to my junior high days, when I had just discovered Blur in all their Britpop goodness. I feel like that I should see him, at least once in my life.
(I just had the urge to say "lay down some phat beats." I blame this on the lack of sleep.
Also, watch the video! I happened to really like his music.
The stuffiness was just too much. The stuffiness, the leaking, and then the stuffiness again.
I feel like such a weenie, but I'm sore from step aerobics. Not from the actual aerobics part, but from the crunches. Egads, I'm out of shape. I feel like such a bed potato.
I'm actually going to go do homework in a few minutes, but wanted to share the cuteness that is my football-shaped rodent. Whenever we take him out for cuddles and scritches, he alwasy climbs up to your neck and sits there.
Oh, I was at Mitsuwa last night, hunting for green tea Kit Kat, but couldn't find any. So, I ended up buying this! I am too impulsive, but the name cracked me up. I should start shopping with my camera so I can take photos of the items there and not have to purchase them.
Sort of.
School is back in session and I want it not to suck, meaning I don't want to suck. Instead, I am working toward good marks for my last semester.
I've been woefully ignoring life, Vox, and those Christmas cards I never sent out (oops). Keeping up with Livejournal is easy, because all I do is post photos.
Speaking of photos, one of mine is going to be published in the March edition of Spin magazine. Huzzah, right? Too bad they picked the worst Ming & Ping photo I have. It's an up-the-nose-shot where I used the glaring, whorish light of flash. In a moment of darkness-driven weakness, I gave in.
Ah well, baby steps, right?
Last week, I went to the Of Montreal show at Bottom of the Hill and man, when did I get old? It was a Thursday night and the show didn't start until almost 10. I'm too old to be out at that time, especially when it's a 30ish minute drive from home. With an opener, the show wasn't over until after midnight. I was fiddling with the camera all night, trying to get a decent shot of the lead singer in all his flamboyant glory.
I have been feeling rather up and down with my photography and want to go learn more, because I feel like I'm not very good. However, thanks to school, work, and naps, I have no time for anything else. So when I saw this, I felt a tad warm and fuzzy on the inside.
Time to konk out and beat this cold.
And I'm addicted to Tetris.
Just played for about 4.5 hours.
Is Courtney's cookies. Zomg.
Ok, they haven't cured my cold or cough, but they make it bearable to have to deal with being sick.
I feel like a happy hamster munch munch munching.
Oh, and Scott just gave me some codeine.
Er, on another note, do any of you crafty peeps know where I can buy/rent Edwardian clothing?
This is of dire importance!
Dark Hand and Lamplight — an artist so new I had to create the Last.fm bio myself. Corii, Zara and I saw them open for Bonnie "Prince" Billy. The appropriately named Doug Paisley croons and plays guitar while an enigmatic Shary Boyle, face adorned with gothic patterns, hovers over an old school projector, painting and manipulating haunting images which are cast on and behind Paisley. Cori took a pretty pic.
